ABOUT US
A while back, we bought 5 acres near the SIUE campus in Edwardsville, Illinois, with a heart to not only reach out to students but to establish a multi-generational fellowship for all people. We wanted to invite them into what we believed was a genuine move of God that we've been seeing among people everywhere. The Spirit is stirring up a call to prayer and worship in churches around the world, and that passion is still at the heart of everything we do.

We took a house on the property and completely renovated it to create a space for our gatherings—somewhere people could worship, pray, learn from Scripture, and just hang out together. We've been meeting in that house ever since, and it's been amazing to watch God shape our community here in the Metro East.

The area around us has an interesting history. Over 220 years ago, a Baptist minister stood on the nearby bluffs overlooking this region and called it the "Land of Goshen"—inspired by the lush, beautiful landscape stretching out below him. We believe that name was more than just a description; it was prophetic. People have been calling it the Land of Goshen ever since.

That name really resonates with us because of the biblical story. In the Bible, Goshen was the place in Egypt where Joseph welcomed his father Jacob and the whole family—a safe haven where they could thrive and be provided for. It was God's provision for Israel in a time of need. We hope to be that kind of place too—a place of provision, safety, and belonging in Jesus' name for everyone who walks through our doors.

We're a small community, and we'd love to have you join us. We gather for fellowship and teaching on Sundays at 10am and for our main prayer gathering on Fridays at 7pm. Just show up—no need to let us know ahead of time. When you come, our hope is that you'll encounter the presence of God and be encouraged through the teaching of His Word. We also offer personal prayer and ministry if you need it.

That's why we're Goshen House.
OUR VISION
Jesus Christ is our vision. Everything we do flows from our relationship with Him. We love Him, abide in His Word and are being conformed into His image day by day by the work of the Father.
We are His Body on earth, and we have a vision to see unity among His churches as the Body of Christ connects in love and purpose.
We have a vision for night and day prayer, combined with praise and worship, to be raised up by the Spirit in the Metro East.

We have a vision to see and participate in a move of Holy Spirit taking place on the SIUE campus.

We have a vision to see children and the younger generation come to know the love of God and the salvation in Jesus' name.
We have a vision to see Jesus Christ exalted as Lord over the Metro East and the St. Louis Metro area. To Him be the glory.
OUR COMMUNITY
We are believers committed to simple and wholehearted devotion to Jesus Christ.
Our worship seeks His presence and our teaching is grounded in His Word, the Bible.
It is His love that compels us and His grace that empowers us to live holy lives. It is His glory that we seek, for He alone is worthy.
We are vitally connected to the whole Body of Christ, especially those that work and serve our own community.
We share the Lord's heart for prayer and intercession and desire to see a move of the Spirit of God in Metro-East St. Louis.

We see our spiritual community as more than those who meet only on Sunday. We see every opportunity to get together with one another as and opportunity to invite Jesus into the conversation.

It is in community that we learn to love. And as we learn, we become more like Him.
